The weather is warming up and wardrobes are changing accordingly. In this second installment of New School Street Style, we reached the feisty and the fashionable from the Lang courtyard to the University Center. The Free Press asked New Schoolers about their favorite and least favorite styles, how to prep for summer while looking good, and which clothes and accessories they feel are absolutely essential. Sunglasses, leather jackets and printed pants are some popular spring styles. Considering the uncertainty of the weather and the start of finals one thing is for sure; no matter what the season is, New Schoolers are always in style.

“I was never allowed to dye my hair and so I got here and no one’s telling me I can’t, so why not,” Williams says.
Peter Kilpin in a blue shirt and a leather jacket.
“I’ll just keep having these until I die, I think,” says Kilpin about his love for leather jackets.
Hannah Pierce in a denim shirt, a black dress, brown boots and a dip-dyed denim jacket.
“[A denim jacket] is a really good staple. It can go any season and it has a lot of room for personal embellishment,” Pierce tells the Free Press.
Emily Leung with nude cat eye sunglasses, a black hoodie, a black leather jacket, a black dress, and blue booties.
“Cobalt blue is one of my favorite colors,” she says.
“I own about six or seven, eight, or something like that, pairs of sunglasses,” Emily Leung says.
“I like loud colors. My personal style would be tropical meets New York City edgy,” Mayan Hennemeyer says.
