Bad Apple

The best bad things to do in NYC this week:

MUSIC

Resolute NYC- Hello?Repeat

Oct. 10 from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.

If you need to dance yourself clean after a hard work week, this event is for you. Resolute NYC is hosting Berlin based record label, “Hello?Repeat,” for their ten year anniversary event. I’m not trying to force you to go this event, do drugs, sweat and make out with strangers, but if you needed a suggestion for your weekend, this would be it. Tickets are $25 and the location is TBD, how chic is that?

Girls at Night on the Internet Pop-Up Shop

Oct. 11 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Have you ever seen that T-shirt that is all over Tumblr? It has the Ferby on it, with the caption, “The first time I smoked weed I died.” That shirt was made by Grace
Miceli (
Art Baby Girl), and she is just one of the seven badass women artists who are selling their shit at Alt Space Brooklyn this Sunday. It’s time to stock your closet with some feminist long sleeve T-shirts. If you don’t own a feminist themed T-shirt are you really even a feminist?

The Morbid Anatomy Museum is presenting the German Expressionist film, “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari” on 16mm film! It will be accompanied with a live score by M.V. Carbon. This could be the perfect place for that first Tinder date, or just to sit alone in silence. Either way, it’ll cost you $12.

Oct. 15, 16 and 17 at 8 p.m., with an additional Saturday matinee at 3 p.m.

Polaroid Stories is part of the New School’s College of Performing Arts BFA production series. The play is based off of interviews with homeless youth and inspired by Ovid’s “Metamorphoses.” Go out and support your goddamn peers. Sneak a flask in and sip on $3 Trader Joe’s wine while being enlightened by the artistic value of theatre. Did I mention that it’s free?
