Parsons Paris Students Urged to Contact School After Deadly Attacks

University officials were on high alert Friday night after attacks across Paris left more than 100 people dead, most of them in a popular music venue only two miles from The New School’s Parsons Paris branch.

There were six different locations across the city that reported attacks including a mass shooting in the Bataclan music hall and two suicide bombings at the stadium where the French national soccer team was playing a friendly match against Germany, according to The Guardian.  All of the attackers are believed to have died but police are still in search of accomplices that may still be at large, according to Friday night reports.

We have contacted the main campus here in New York for more information in regards to the situation, but school officials did not immediately reply.

School officials urged students in Paris to contact the university and stay inside where they feel safe until instructed otherwise.
