The Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space presents: New York Democratic Primary Live Viewing

Tune in for the results of the New York Democratic Primary and mingle amongst other fellow liberals. The event is hosted by the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space, a museum that preserves and promotes grassroots activism in the Lower East Side. There is no better way to “feel the Bern” or be with “her” than watching the results live.

If We Don’t Get It, Shut It Down–a Play about the Baltimore Uprising

Friday April 22nd and Saturday April 23nd @ 7PM

Come see Baltimore native and New Schooler’s own Morgan Stevenson’s play about the events and experience surrounding the civil unrest that unfolded in the death of unarmed black man Freddie Gray in 2014. Cast members of the show include other fellow New Schoolers, as well. In addition, a panel discussion featuring Baltimore youth activists will follow the show. Tickets are free and be reserved online.

Opening of the Queens International Night Market

Night markets can be found all around the world. Come experience the first night market to open in New York. Located in Flushing Queens, this market will include over 50 food vendors, artists, and shops from Brazil to Malaysia. Do a night of traveling without even having to live New York. Oh, and did we mention it is free? Of course, be advised that this will be a popular event, so like all New York events, arrive early to avoid the dreaded long lines.
