This afternoon The School of Fashion announced that Alber Elbaz will be coming to The Tishman Auditorium for a conversation with Kim Hastreiter of Paper Magazine and Fashion Consultant Julie Gilhart on Tuesday, May 3rd. It is unclear if this event is a part of the upcoming Parsons Festival that kicks off on May 5th. Until last October Alber was the creative director at the luxury french fashion house Lanvin. After being booted at “the decision of the company’s majority shareholder” the house’s pre-fall collection was completed without him. Since leaving Lanvin Alber has been a free agent and has yet to be appointed at any other companies. The university has yet to confirm how and where students can RSVP to witness the conversation, but it will definitely be one to watch.
