Offering a lengthy menu of about two dozen no-toaster-necessary treats, this popup shop (no pun intended) has been extended until this Sunday!

Martin Scorsese Retrospective

Martin Scorsese is an iconic American film director with a wide ranging body of work. As a native New Yorker the movies he makes capture the real-life intensity and energy of his home. Martin Scorsese, is the first major exhibition about the director’s intertwined career and life. It explores Scorsese’s half-century of filmmaking within the context of his personal history. Using Scorsese’s own collection, the exhibition includes production material from his key films, objects from his childhood, and behind-the-scenes images.

Drink, Draw n’ Take Action

Want to design a handmade postcard that you can then use to alert your state representative of the importance of the Affordable Care Act? Here’s your chance and the best place to do it! Drink, Draw n’ Take Action is going to be an awesome event hosted by Housing Works Bookstore Cafe, Huffington Post Arts & Culture and Repro Rights Zine. These great sponsors are teaming up and calling you to action for this night of drinking, drawing and creating postcards.
Blank postcards will be provided for participants to design and personalize. Markers, crayons, pens and pencils will be available for your pleasure. There will be three rounds of drawing based on three policies currently being debated in congress. Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase throughout the night. All proceeds from the food and drinks will go to Housing Work’s mission to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS. Admission to this event is free!

Indoor Rock Climbing at Brooklyn Boulders

For an easy $10 have a blast spending your Saturday night indoor rock climbing with the recreation department. Your $10 covers the whole deal, admission, dear, and assistance. Exhibitionism tells the story of one of the most influential rock ‘n’ roll band in the world, allowing its visitors to experience the band’s incredible journey through an immersive exhibition. If you’re a fan of The Rolling Stones, this exhibition should be on your to-do before it closes this Sunday. This exhibit features over 500 pieces of memorabilia, 190 pieces of original art, and a replica of the band’s first flat in London’s Chelsea neighborhood. Tickets are a little expensive, but if you’re a fan, it’ll be well worth it.

Julia is the current Senior Photo Editor for the Free Press. She is in her senior year at Parsons, majoring in Photography and minoring in Art History.
