The weekend will host a myriad of events and panels surrounding art, film, TV and more.
Geeks and nerds rejoice! New York Comic Con returns to the Javits Center Oct. 6-9. The weekend will feature panels, celebrity signings, art vendors and more.
Since 2006, NYCC has united fans of pop culture. This year, event highlights include a “Back the Future” reunion panel on Saturday Oct 8 and includes stars Christopher Lloyd and Michael J Fox, who seldom make public appearances. Jamie Lee Curtis will be in attendance discussing “Halloween Ends,” the latest entry in the long running “Halloween” franchise, with moderator Drew Barrymore. Brendan Fraser, who has seen a surge in popularity on the internet in recent years, will make a rare convention appearance, signing autographs throughout the weekend.
Comic creator Frank Miller, best known for his series “The Dark Knight Returns,” as well as writing editions for both Sin City and Daredevil, will hold panels discussing his latest titles, Ancient Enemies, Ronin and Pandora. Cosplayer meetups and events will take place throughout the center all weekend.
Like previous years, NYCC will host hundreds of vendors and artists in their marketplace, including the Artist Alley, where fans can shop for comics, toys, games, art and all things pop culture related. Purveyors of fandom will certainly not want to miss out!
Tickets and more information can be found at NYCC’s homepage.
